Snedremsa ja, det verkar vara något av en nyhet runt 1930 - sån som man kan köpa färdig alltså. I alla fall om man får döma av hur reklamen för Fillawants snedremsa uttrycker sig:
Husmodern nr 14 1931
Yes, it's another house dress. This time in a William Morris print from Fabric Freedom, though I didn't buy it there, but in my favourite fabric shop of all I've been to: Classic Textiles in Shepherds Bush, London. The printed cottons are in the basement and on the ground floor you find silks and wool and all sorts of stuff. It's cheap and they're nice.
The bias tape comes from an end of business ale, just like the one I used on my other c 1930 house dress, which means that I've used two of the three colours that I bought. Not bad.
The ad says that with Fillawant's ready-made bias tape, something that appear to be something of a novelty in 1931 Sweden, your dress won't look like it's homemade.
