My sister Lena picked me up around half past six yesterday to go fabric shopping. It was a lady who used to have a fabric shop years ago who is selling out her stock. I ahve actually been there before, many years ago - it was there I bought the silk for my rope farthingale. Back then I only made historical clothing and was thsu only interested in wool, silk and linen of the right kind. She didn't have so much of that, but lots of other fabrics, which suits me now.
The fabric in the top photo is a (mainly) cotton stretch twill which I plan to make jackets and skirts for me and my best friend Inger (she will be orange, I will be blue). I made matching wrap dresses in checked cotton with orange and blue as the dominant colours this summer, though I haven't got a photo of us two wearign them togehter yet. This of course continues in the same vein.
The blue fabric is a wool/poly blend and will become a skirt, while the pink/blue check is a soft cotton that will become a dress.
