I have now finished the back piece, which looked like this a couple of days ago.
Apparently it takes a long time to recover from larger surgery. I don't do much these days: load and unload the dishwasher and cook the occasional meal. And knit. Right now I'm working on a 30's jumper that was called "It cannot fail to please" when originally published. It's from Susan Crawford's "A stitch in time Volume 1" - I love both volume 1 and volume 2. The usefulness of a short-sleeved jumper in wool can be discussed but I didn't have a lot of the yarn I'm usign so I thought it wise to choose a short-sleeved model. The yarn I'm using is DROPS Baby Merino, which is just wonderful ot knit in, even if I visually prefer yarn that isn't cable spun.
Other than that I've made a skirt with elastic in the waistband, since I can't wear anything that puts pressure on the abdomen. There will be photos, though it's not very exciting: straight pieces gathered to a waistband which in turn has three rows of elastic.
